Kudos to Toshiba for producing a cordless phone that hits the sweet spot in the price / performance equation.
This phone sends AND receives at 2.4 Ghz using Spread Spectrum Technology. The SG1000BK is very secure from eavesdropping on the part of scanner heads.
Audio is crystal clear. Electrical appliances that upset my other phones have no effect on the SG1000BK. Range covers my entire property.
The extra battery and charger is welcome. One plus that is not well documented is that the phone will operate without AC power.
Only disappointment is the absence of any mention of Toshiba’s Digital Scrambling technology in the specification sheet that comes with SG1000BK. The Toshiba website indicates that digital scrambling is part of the feature set on this phone, but ONLY the Toshiba website shows this information.
