When I bought this phone I thought I got a good deal and a phone with lots of nice features. I bought it since it has both caller ID and answering machine and is cordless. Well, I should have added $20 more and bought Panasonic phone obviously. The phone worked fine for the first week or so. Then it suddenly would start beeping whenever I wanted to make a phone call and even while I was talking it would disconnect many times and start beeping. Static was unbelievable. First of all you could not be around ANY computer or TV or radio, not to talk about microwave. And sometimes I would find a spot where the phone worked but in 5min it would start beeping again. 3 weeks after I bought the phone it’s literally impossible to use it. I am back to my old phone and this one will probably go where it belongs - trash. In all I was very disappointed. $60 is not that little money and given the fact that I cannot use the phone at all I find that GE robbed me for that money since the product is not officially broken so I cannot have it serviced and yet I cannot use it at all.
