This cordless phone is unique in the sense that it is expandable and only requires one phone jack. You can have up to 6 units (other cordless phones) tied into the base unit that is the only connection to your phone line. It’s a great option for those in older homes where there is only one or two phone jacks throughout the entire house (like myself). The phones, however, have a hard time holding a charge and tend to start beeping “Low Battery” all the time. If you don’t grab another phone with a charge, the phone will hang up on you with no additional warning. The phone does have excellent range, it doesn’t matter where in the house you are - you will still have great reception. The answering machine located in the base is good. It has a lot of recording time as well as 3 mailbox options. This feature lets your callers to choose the mailbox they’d like to leave a message for. (Ex. Mom %26 Dad- Mailbox 1, Child 1- Mailbox 2, Home Business- Mailbox 3) The phone also allows you to save up to 50 numbers. The downside, is that when you save a number it DOES NOT save to the rest of the headsets attached to it, and there is no option of doing so either.
